I’ve been to Malahide a number of times over the years but somehow never made it to Malahide Castle before last week. Which is kind of crazy. Particularly since my mum is from Swords, pretty much just up the road and we spent a lot of time there growing up!

Since I moved back to Ireland it’s like I have this uncontrollable urge to make up for lost time. I just need to see and do everything! Easy, right. Well, some things are definitely less challenging than others and this week I headed out to do a couple of easy walks that have been on my to-do list for a while. One of those was the walk along the Great South Wall out to Poolbeg Lighthouse. This year’s St Patrick’s Day parade was a wet and wild affair! However, being José’s first St Patrick’s Day in Ireland, we thought we’d get out amongst it and literally soak up the atmosphere!! It was also a good chance to test out our new toy, the GoPro Hero5. We’re very excited about getting out and about with it. It was literally just out of the box so we haven’t figured out all the amazing features just yet but it’s so light and easy to carry around, it’s a dream!
